The CPC seeks to assist the University in encouraging in students a vision of what they want to become or where they will be after graduation while also balancing this vision by raising knowledge and comprehension of the career options for the degree or program they have chosen. It helps students build professional skills and prepare to enter the job market or graduate education. Career counselors can help students choose a major and minor based on their career goals and advise them on when to take certain courses.

With my degree, what can I do?
There are several paths you might pursue after graduation, whether you decide to start working or pursuing postgraduate studies. Examine your alternatives for a job and the potential outcomes of your degree. Even if you already know what major or career field you want to pursue, you might be interested in learning more about your opportunities. You may find out more about occupations and majors to determine your career path with the help of the career advice assistance. The students will have the opportunity to participate in activities that EAMU will arrange, including career development and preparation talks and career fairs. We also develop a specialized training program for our students that is concerned with career growth and preparedness.

Many students have never had the chance to speak with business professionals in an interview setting. By doing a mock interview in a classroom context, students may practice interviewing without facing the pressures of a real job interview. As our students practice, they will learn the answers to the most common interview questions and they will get feedback about their weaknesses and strengths. This will help them to feel comfortable when it comes time to conduct actual interviews. The most important part of interview preparation is rehearsing their responses to common interview questions. Knowing in advance how they will frame their experiences, strengths and weaknesses can go a long way in calming down those interview nerves.
