Free Airport Pickup
EAMU staff meet you on arrival and transfer you to pre-booked accommodation. Request at least 7 days in advance. Mandatory for students under 18.
Orientation Programme
A comprehensive welcome covering transport, banking, campus tour, immigration rules, accommodation, budgeting, study skills, and a city tour. Compulsory attendance.
Overseas Student Health Cover
Required by Cambodian law for all student visa holders. EAMU arranges your OSHC — it is included in your enrolment process before you arrive.

Do I need a visa to study in Cambodia?
Yes. Obtain a Cambodian student visa from the embassy in your home country before departing. EAMU provides your Letter of Offer and Enrolment document to support your application.
What English level do I need to apply?
Year 1 (Foundation) entry requires IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. Year 2 entry requires IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. English support courses are also available at EAMU.
What currency does Cambodia use?
Cambodia widely uses US Dollars (USD) alongside the Cambodian Riel. USD is accepted everywhere — no currency exchange is needed for most daily expenses.
Can I work part-time while studying?
Student visa conditions in Cambodia generally do not permit employment during study. Confirm the current regulations with our International Admissions team.
Is Phnom Penh safe for international students?
Yes. Phnom Penh is a safe, modern capital with a large expat and international student community. EAMU also provides 24/7 duty officer welfare support.
Is halal food available in Phnom Penh?
Absolutely. Phnom Penh has a wide range of halal restaurants, Muslim-friendly eateries, and international supermarkets stocking halal products.
What is OSHC and do I need it?
Overseas Student Health Cover is mandatory by Cambodian law for student visa holders. It must be in place before you arrive. EAMU arranges this for every incoming international student.
Will someone meet me at the airport?
