IT Support Officer

EAMU is seeking a qualified IT Support Officer (Immediate) to maintain campus IT infrastructure, provide hardware and software support to all user groups, and manage network and security systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Responsible for the functionality and connectivity of the MIS office with the campus
  • Providing IT support – hardware, software and systems to all different user groups in the campus
  • Managing the daily operational IT needs, including managing, monitoring, maintaining and upgrading existing IT systems e.g. servers, operating systems, hardware, software, printers and scanners
  • Assisting to ensure the smooth functioning of the VIOP phone system
  • Managing the camera and sound system for security and class room delivery
  • Managing the IT inventory and assets at optimal level
  • Network Management to achieve efficiency of workflow and security
  • Other duties relevant to IT support in a changing environment

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in BIS, Computer Science, or other relevant fields
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in IT Support
  • A strong team player
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • In-depth knowledge of technology and service management
  • Knowledge of current software and hardware and their deployment
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, Domain Server, File Server, Email Server, technical networks, Firewall, etc.
  • Knowledge of website development and maintenance; WordPress experience is an advantage
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
