EAMU Community Comes Together for a Potluck Celebration

August 19, 2026

Students, faculty, and staff at EAMU shared a table and a spread of homemade dishes at a campus-wide potluck, celebrating community over a shared meal.

East Asia Management University (EAMU) turned its campus into a shared table this month, as students, faculty, and staff came together for a community potluck that brought EAMU's spirit of togetherness to life. Rather than a catered affair, the event ran on a simple idea: everyone brings a dish, and everyone shares in the feast.

The spread told its own story of community and variety — trays of fried rice and noodles, dumplings, spring rolls, sandwiches, pizza, and even a simmering hot pot shared among friends, all laid out buffet-style for the whole campus to enjoy. Long tables filled quickly as students and staff lined up together, plates in hand, sampling dishes their classmates and colleagues had prepared and brought from home.

What stood out most was who showed up to share the moment. Faculty and members of EAMU's leadership team lined up alongside students to fill their plates, while student groups gathered for photos between bites, making the potluck as much a celebration of community as it was of food. The relaxed, informal setting gave students and staff a rare chance to connect outside the classroom, swapping recipes, stories, and laughter over a shared meal.

Events like this potluck reflect something EAMU values deeply: that a university is more than lectures and coursework — it's a community. By pooling together dishes made with care and a willingness to share, EAMU students, faculty, and staff reinforced the bonds that make campus life feel like home.
