EAMU welcomed the University of Newcastle, Australia, for an information session with EAMU students and students from Forest Hill International School. The session introduced the 2+2 Study Pathway, which can cut the cost of an Australian degree by more than half.

East Asia Management University (EAMU) hosted an exclusive Information Session with the University of Newcastle, Australia (UoN), on 5 November 2026. EAMU students and students from Forest Hill International School attended. The session gave young Cambodians a close look at one of Australia's leading universities and at a practical, affordable way to earn an overseas degree.

EAMU welcomed Mr. Johnel Oliquino, Regional Manager at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He told students what it is like to study at UoN, covering life in Newcastle, the university's academic programs and the support available to international students. Students followed along with UoN brochures and got a clear picture of what studying in Australia involves.

Prof. James Chua, Vice Chancellor of EAMU, then presented the 2+2 Study Pathway. Under this pathway, Cambodian students complete the first part of their degree at EAMU and finish it at the University of Newcastle in Australia. Prof. Chua explained that students on this pathway can save more than half of the total cost of completing the whole degree in Australia. That brings a world-class international qualification within reach of many more families.

Students took an active part throughout. They asked questions about admissions, courses and student life abroad during an open Q&A. After the presentations, many stayed for one-on-one consultations with the UoN and EAMU teams to talk through their own study plans.
