EAMU Students Experience Study Trip to Ho Chi Minh City

East Asia Management University (EAMU) recently organized a study trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, offering students an enriching opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. 📅 Date: 24 April 2024📍 Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam As part of the trip, students visited our partner university, the Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE). The visit allowed them to engage with overseas students, exchange knowledge, and experience a different academic culture. In addition to the academic exchange, students also had the chance to explore exciting cultural and historical sites around the city, making the trip both memorable and educational. EAMU remains committed to providing its students with study exchanges and international experiences across regional countries as part of their degree programs. Such opportunities ensure that graduates are not only academically strong but also culturally adaptable and globally competitive.

Kyungdong University South Korea visit to EAMU

East Asia Management University (EAMU) continues to advance its internationalisation initiatives. Following successful partnerships in Vietnam and Thailand, EAMU is now extending its global reach to South Korea through collaboration with Kyungdong University (Global). Date: 28th March 2024 Location: East Asia Management University (EAMU), Phnom Penh This partnership aims to provide students with mobility opportunities and international exposure via study trips, exchanges, and transfer options for degree completion. EAMU is proud to announce the next step in the internationalisation of its degree programs. Following successful initiatives in Vietnam in 2023, EAMU has now extended its reach to Thailand. EAMU Proudly Welcomes Our Inaugural Chancellor

East Asia Management University (EAMU) is delighted to announce Professor Emerita Dr. Veronica Bamber, MA, MBA, PhD, PFHEA, from Scotland, UK, as our first Chancellor. 📅 Date: 5 February 2024📍 Location: East Asia Management University (EAMU), Phnom Penh Professor Emerita Dr. Bamber brings a wealth of experience and expertise to EAMU. She holds a PhD from Lancaster University, an MBA from UWIST, Cardiff, and an MA from St Andrews University, and she is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. With over 40 years of academic experience, Prof. Dr. Bamber has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as academic staff, across six UK universities and numerous partner institutions worldwide. She has supervised and examined PhD research, led faculty development programs across Europe, the Middle East, Morocco, India, Nepal, and Siberia, and contributed to academic enhancement activities in New Zealand and South Africa. She is also an experienced quality reviewer. Achievements and Contributions: Research and Publications: Around 40 publications, 30 keynote addresses, and 40 seminar presentations Quality and Academic Leadership: Accreditor for Advance HE; Academic Advisor for HTMi Switzerland (2020–2023), providing curriculum development, programme validation, partnership support, examination board leadership, assessment design, and academic CPD Academic Practice Leadership: Former Director of the Centre for Academic Practice at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh (2008–2019), leading staff development, technology-enhanced learning, and student academic skills support Extensive Teaching Experience: 20 years as a Spanish lecturer and 8 years leading academic enhancement at Heriot-Watt University External Examiner: Served in 7 institutions, contributing to academic quality assurance Prof. Dr. Bamber’s leadership combines global academic experience, research excellence, and commitment to quality education, making her an invaluable addition to the EAMU community. Dr. Touch Visalsok, Secretary of State (Higher Education) Dr. Heng Kreng, Director of the Scientific Research Department (Post Graduate) Mrs. Rose Chansorphea, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department The meeting provided a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives on Cambodia’s higher education landscape, as well as an update on EAMU’s developments and progress in Cambodia. This visit reinforced EAMU’s commitment to collaborating closely with MoEYS to advance quality higher education in Cambodia and to create meaningful opportunities for students and the academic community alike.
