The BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance is a Double Majors program specifically designed for students with an interest in both areas of accounting or finance. This program gives them the foundation skills of both accounting and finance and in the advanced years gain significant expertise in depth on different aspects of accounting practices e.g. Auditing, and taxation, and also finance applications e.g. Asset and credit management, derivatives and investment. This program combines academic rigour with practicality and relevance for professionals intending to work in the fields of accounting or finance.

Modern businesses and organisations are driven by the synthesis of information facilitated by technology. Business information systems are the key platforms and repository of data for today’s managers and leaders to obtain and apply the relevant materials for planning, organising, executing and controlling. This degree programme is designed to provide students with a sound grounding on the theories and practices in business and management with current application software and information technology support. It teaches students to analyze and model the flow of information through business processes, and formulate plans and architectures for the capture, storage and retrieval of data. In addition, it trains students to develop computer apps and programs to support or automate business processes. It encompasses the study of different types of organisations, private, public or non-profit, and their management approaches, processes and key considerations when interacting with environmental changes. This programme focuses on the key aspects of business and management theories and practices with particular emphasis on the students to develop a range of transferable individual and team skills. Students will be exposed to key functional areas of an organisation, namely planning and control, operations management, marketing, finance, human resources, and sales. It aims to develop graduates with a strong foundation in management and an enquiring mind to question contemporary business issues and change.

The BSc (Hons) in Economics aim to equip students with a thorough understanding on the various aspects of economics, including microeconomics and macroeconomics, in relations to global and national economic trends, national policies, highlighting the link between theoretical aspects and real-world applications. The program seeks to equip students with a sound appreciation on the workings of an economy, different market conditions and their inter-relationships with other relevant social sciences. The logistics and supply chain industry is an important driver of economic growth, and is increasingly important in today’s globalisation and ecommerce evolution. The important roles of transportation and communication of economic activities cannot be overemphasized. This program is designed to provide students with knowledge in purchase and procurement, supply chain management, warehouses and distribution centres management, along with an understanding of global supply chain constraints as well as the legal implications. The programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) is offered to equip students with the technical knowledge and skills to commence and upgrade their career prospects in a dynamic industry of logistics. It is practical-based in nature which seeks to equip students with the technical aspects of logistic and supply chain management. It covers subjects like Transport Management, Warehousing Management, E-Commerce with Logistics, Project Management and Project Work, Supply Chain operations and other useful subjects in business.

Marketing is essential for any business or organization that wants to succeed in the marketplace. Marketing combines creativity with analytical skills to understand how the customers would react, and how to reach out to them. Marketing is fundamentally about promoting the value of a thing/person to one or more people. It draws on the knowledge of psychology, anthropology, and even politics to anticipate what customers will need and generate the leads so that the sales team can follow up on them to close the deal.
