Enrolment Policies

1. General

1.1 EAMU is committed to creating educational opportunities, including for individuals who have not followed the traditional route to higher education but aspire to succeed.

1.2 EAMU is committed to providing access to higher education through:

  • Flexible entry and exit arrangements

  • Granting credit towards courses leading to Cambodia NQF qualifications

1.3 Entry points are consistent with the descriptors for Cambodia NQF qualifications. These include:

  • Foundation

  • Associate Degree

  • Graduate Certificate

  • Graduate Diploma

  • Master’s Level

1.4 Entry into the first-year level of an EAMU undergraduate program normally requires one of the following:

  • A Grade 12 Bac II Certificate (Pass); or

  • A high school diploma from a recognized international school in Cambodia; or

  • An equivalent qualification; or

  • Completion of a relevant course of study recognized as compliant with a National Standard for Foundation Programs (e.g., in Australia or the UK); or

  • For mature-age applicants:

    • A significant period of employment in the proposed area of study

    • Demonstrated knowledge related to the area of proposed study

    • Appropriate levels of literacy and numeracy

    • (Subject to MOEYS approval)

1.5 EAMU reserves the right to refuse admission to a qualified applicant if:

  • The limit on available places is exceeded; or

  • There are insufficient personnel resources or an insufficient number of students to offer the course; or

  • Other restrictions apply to the course.

2. Procedures

2.1 All applicants are required to attend an English entrance test conducted by EAMU.

2.2 Where an application is based on 1.4 (a), (b), or (c), the applicant must provide:

  • Original statements of results and certificates, or

  • Certified copies of the above

2.3 Where certification or documentation is in a language other than English, a certified translation may be required.

2.4 Where an application is based on 1.4 (d) (mature-age applicants), the process includes (but is not limited to):

  • Submission of a document setting forth particulars of employment, including tasks undertaken

  • Demonstration of literacy and numeracy through a written work sample or an assessment conducted by EAMU

  • Submission of the application to MOEYS for approval
