EAMU 2nd Industry Advisory Board Meeting at Courtyard by Marriott Phnom Penh

On Tuesday, 8 September 2026, East Asia Management University (EAMU) held its 2nd Industry Advisory Board (IAB) meeting at Courtyard by Marriott Phnom Penh. The meeting brought together university leaders and industry experts from several sectors. Their shared aim is to keep EAMU's programs closely matched to what Cambodia's workforce needs.

The Chairman opened the meeting with updates on the university and its outlook. The Board then confirmed several items: the minutes of the last meeting on 5 February 2026, a new "Industry Spotlight" segment for future meetings, holding meetings at rotating locations, meeting every quarter, and appointing a Chair and Deputy Chair. EAMU also reported on what it has done since the Board's first meeting. This included more overseas study and industry exposure for students, more AI and digital skills in the curriculum, and better preparation for students before their internships.

The Industry Outlook session looked at the banking sector: what is changing, what challenges lie ahead and what skills the industry will need. Next came the Corporate Challenge, where one member presented a real problem from their own company for the Board to discuss. This practical, problem-solving approach shows EAMU's commitment to linking the classroom with the workplace.

After a coffee break and networking, members shared the skills they expect from EAMU graduates and gave feedback on the curriculum. They also looked at ways to work together, including talent recruitment, research, executive training and joint projects. To finish, each member named one area where they will work with EAMU in the next three months. This turns the discussion into concrete action.

EAMU thanks all Industry Advisory Board members for their time, insight and commitment to shaping the next generation of Cambodian professionals. The meeting ended with lunch together.
