English Preparatory Class

The Academic English program consisting of 3 stages of learning to enable students to achieve the IELTS 6.0 standard. Applicants to our EAMU degree courses require a minimum of IELTS 5.5 to gain direct entry to the degree year 1 course. Those who do not meet this minimum requirement but with varying levels of English proficiency can attempt our English program at the stage suitable for them.

• • Students with IELTS 4.0 to achieve IELTS 6.0 = 6 months (3 stages)
  • Students with IELTS 4.5 to achieve IELTS 6.0 = 4 months (2 stages)
  • Students with IELTS 5.0 to achieve IELTS 6.0 = 2 months (1 stage)

Free English proficiency test to determine your IELTS level is conducted for students who sign up with our degree courses.

* At the end of each stage, a Stage test is conducted to determine your proficiency. If you do achieve an IELTS 5.5 at any time, you can proceed to study for your degree.
